Join us for Testify Speech & Debate Club's informational meeting on Saturday, August 23rd from 10 am - 12 noon at Calvary Chapel Laguna Creek
We compete in the Stoa Speech & Debate League which trains high school and middle schoolers. Our mission is to teach privately home educated students to represent Christ and become leaders in our world, as is stated on the Stoa website:
"Stoa is a national High School and Junior High Speech and Debate organization serving the needs of privately educated, Christian Homeschooling families. Stoa exists to train Christian homeschooled youth in speech and debate to better communicate a Biblical world view. Stoa offers a National Invitational Tournament of Champions, inviting students from across the United States to perform, speak and debate." Stoausa.org
Come meet us and hear more about this exciting "sport". See experienced students give a speech and watch competitors do part of a debate round.
If you decide to join the Testify club, we will have applications on hand for you to fill out. We can also email you one ahead of time, along with a syllabus. Just email us to request it.
We will be holding our club orientation for current and new families that same day from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. if you decide to apply after the information meeting.
