ROCKLIN LEARNING CENTER is a safe place where homeschool families can teach their children in a homeschool cooperative on a 4-acre campus in Rocklin, CA. Veteran homeschool teachers work alongside new homeschool families to support them to provide the best education experience for their children.

ROCKLIN LEARNING CENTER is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our goal is to build an awesome library to share with the community, build a playground for children, offer sports, extra-curricular activities and events that enhance the educational experience for all students. My wife Sharla and I have homeschooled our children in the USA and overseas in Malaysia. We like the dynamic of a church-based homeschool learning center where families can support each other for our children’s education. RLC has membership with HSLDA and ACSI.  Please contact us with questions, comments or to join us.

For homeschool families that need an umbrella school, ROCKLIN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS is a learning service provider offering an accredited high school diploma and transcripts as well as assessment and consultation. We are here to families with real education and a deep love for learning. Contact us with questions and for more information.

Why do we love homeschool families?

Because we ARE a homeschool family.

And "connecting" is important to homeschool families!

If you ever stop by our studio during lessons, you'll see our waiting area full of homeschool families connecting and what we fondly refer to as "insta-playdates." As a homeschool parent, you know what I mean! This has been the way our own kids have made some of the most wonderful friends over the years. It's the power of connecting!

These classes are a perfect place for homeschoolers to connect!
Aside from sharing the gift of music, one of our passions is to have a wholesome environment. An environment that continually encourages students and fosters relationships, not just with the music itself, but also with teachers, and other students.

These classes are a perfect place for homeschoolers to grow!

We also have a Group Guitar Class starting in September. As well as private music lessons year-round for:
  • piano
  • guitar
  • drums
  • ukulele
  • bass
  • voice
  • mandolin
  • strings: violin, viola, cello
  • woodwinds: saxophone, clarinet, flute
  • brass: trumpet, trombone, horn
  • and more
Please see flyer for details. Feel free to pass this along to others who might be interested.

We look forward to having you join our studio family!

Dance Classes

Hi all,

It's time to start back up with the SacHomeschoolDances for this new school year!  We're looking forward to hosting the ballroom dances every other month or so at Malko Dance Studio with Mr. Salazar again.

Here's a couple of things to touch base with you all about:
1)  Please let me know if you'd rather NOT be on our email list.  Some teens may have graduated, moved away, or are just not interested.  If I don't hear from you, I'll assume that you want to still receive our emails.  As a reminder, here are the requirements for you/your teen to participate in our dances:
A. interested in participating in homeschool dances
B. a current homeschooler
C. between the ages of 14 and 18
D. in grades 9 - 12

2)  Our first ballroom dance event will be in late September/early October.  Look for an evite to be sent out soon with all the details.

3)  Many of you have already received this info from Joyce Henkel, but she wanted to make sure everyone on our email list knows about this opportunity.  Joyce coordinated the summer dance classes with Mr. Salazar and would like to continue the classes throughout the school year.  Please contact Joyce (NOT ME) if you're interested.  Her email is joyce@markhenkel.com.

Hi everyone,

(Although a firm commitment to all of the class sessions is requested)

Please let me know ASAP, but no later than August 31st, if your students will be able to attend. Please reference “Dance Class” in the RE: line so I can be sure not to miss any responses.
