BHN is now an HSLDA Discount Group

Bayside Homeschool Network is now a HSLDA Discount Group!!!

We recommend that independent homeschooling families join HSLDA. Even if you never experience legal trouble yourself, your HSLDA membership will help enable other homeschooling families to get the legal help they need and will help defend our right to homeschool here in California. Membership in HSLDA also gives you personal access to the legal staff; HSLDA's experienced high school, struggling learners, and early years consultants; selling privileges at the HSLDA Curriculum Market; and discounts through HSLDA's PerX program. (For more information about HSLDA's many benefits, see www.hslda.org.).

Bayside Homeschool Network members SAVE $20 off the HSLDA membership price when you enter our Discount Group code 210465 on the HSLDA membership form!

What does joining HSLDA do for me?
  • Protects your right to homeschool and defends your family. A lawyer is on call 24/7.
  • Provides fast help by phone or email: Get direct answers to your specific questions about home education. Veteran homeschooling parents are available to answer your questions and help you find resources for teaching your children:
    • Toddlers to Tweens (PreK-8th grade)
    • High school (including preparing for college or career paths)
    • Struggling learners (special needs/gifted and talented)
  • Preserves homeschool freedom for all families by promoting homeschooling nationwide, as well as by working with state homeschooling groups to pass homeschool-friendly legislation and stop unfavorable bills at the state and federal levels.
  • Partners you with the cause: Although homeschooling is recognized in every state, HSLDA receives phone calls each day from families whose right to homeschool is being challenged or discriminated against by school officials, social workers, employers, colleges, armed services recruitment officers, and government bureaucrats. The customizable nature of homeschooling defies the educational elite’s ideal of mandatory, uniform indoctrination—making parental choice in education a target for elimination. By joining HSLDA, you are supporting families who are fighting for their right to homeschool today and standing together to preserve homeschooling freedom for tomorrow.

any and all homeschoolers who wish to attend.

We hope you and your child are excited to learn more about this incredible opportunity!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do I need to travel with my child?
NO!  In fact, we strongly encourage junior high and high school students to travel independently.  Educational travel is one of the most effective ways to help boost a child’s confidence and prepare them for adulthood.  With highly trained chaperones, a full time tour guide, and full time security provided by the company, parents can be confident your student will be adequately supervised and safe.

Can I travel as a chaperone?
At this time there are no openings for designated chaperone positions.  However, you may accompany your child as a paying adult.  Details about cost will be shared at the meeting.

Where are you going?
We have a scheduled a customized private tour to include stops in Colonial Williamsburg, Washington DC, and Gettysburg.

How much does it cost?
All of the details including price will be shared at the meeting on November 9th.  There are three options for payment including monthly or bi-weekly payment plans.

Can I use my charter school funds?
We are currently working with all local charter schools to see if they are willing to cover a portion of this trip.

Upward International Schools Resource Conclave 11/19

I am writing you to let you know that Upward International School Systems has been invited to Rocklin to help with educational needs for both homeschoolers and private schoolers.  We are having a Resource Conclave 19 November at First Baptist in Rocklin.  We have been helping homeschoolers for nearly 30 years and have gotten pretty good at it.  We specialize in learning theory and curriculum selection among other things.  We would like to get your feedback as well as that of your group and be able to provide some encouragement and resourcing at this meeting.  There is no cost, and nothing will be sold.  I have attached our flyer, feel free to distribute it freely. If you have any questions please ask. I homeschool three little ones myself so I understand a lot of the strange things that come up. We are excited about this area and the number of people who choose educating their children over participating in the system and we want to help wherever we can.  Thank you for your time.
