Register for Writing with Kris Classes

Hey everyone,

It’s finally time to officially sign up for Writing with Kris classes.  Since I am offering more classes (including online classes), I’m going to ask you to go straight to my website (www.writingwithkris.com) to view your options.  Many of you are already familiar with the services that I offer and you may even know which class you are planning to sign your child/children up for.  In that case, simply reply to this email with the following information:

  1.  Your child’s/children’s name(s)
  2. Which class (location) you are signing your child up for
  3. Grade(s)
  4. Your method of payment (personal or indicate which charter)
  5. Phone number

Our classes will begin the first week of September.  If you want to learn more about the services I offer or if you are unsure about which option is the best fit for your child, you will find detailed information on my website. Should you still find yourself unsure about the best fit, please contact me; I am happy to help you understand your options and recommend the option that will likely provide the greatest benefit to your child.

I will be purchasing books for all of the students in my classes on August 2, so be sure to sign up prior to that date.  After that date, parents will be responsible to purchase their child’s book for class. I will reply to your email to confirm that your child’s name is on the appropriate class list.  After that, you will receive an email letting you know what to do next.

I have been (and still am) working hard to provide many resources and opportunities for you: on-sight classes and tutoring, online classes and tutoring, writing assessments, materials for teaching writing, and parent/teacher workshops/training.  My desire is to partner with you as you teach and train your children to become proficient readers, thinkers, and writers.  So if you have not already done so, please “Like” my Facebook page so that you will always be notified of the opportunities that are available to you.

You might also want to plan to attend my next Parent/Teacher Workshop, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 9:00-3:00.  More information on this event will be coming very soon. Please feel free to pass this information on to any friends who might benefit from partnering with us in equipping your children to be effective communicators.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call me at 916-725-6473 or send me an email (info@writingwithkris.com).

I hope you enjoy your final weeks of summer break, and I look forward to seeing you in September!!

Free Forest School/ Auburn Area

Hello! I'm searching for fellow nature loving and free-play loving families with young children (0-6). I am an Auburn mom of a 3 year old and was looking for nature free type play with friends for my daughter so I teamed up with a fellow mom to start a local Free Forest School group for Placer County. https://www.facebook.com/groups/FreeForestSchoolPlacerCountyCA/ Free Forest School is a volunteer run non profit organization. I will be facilitating weekly Free Forest School within 20 min or less of Auburn on Thursday mornings at 9:40am. Generally, the location will stay the same, and change seasonally, but remain not to far from Auburn. Sarah Palmore, co-director, will be facilitating Free Forest School closer to Roseville area, on Monday mornings beginning in September. My group has already begun and is meeting weekly, currently at Weimar Institute Trails. Details of location are in the event. If you are at all interested, Please join us here! https://www.facebook.com/groups/FreeForestSchoolPlacerCountyCA/ I've also attached a FAQ of Free Forest School.
