Lincoln-Douglas Values Debate & Speech Club for Home Educated Youth

Announcing New Lincoln-Douglas Values Debate & Speech Club for Home Educated Youth

Participation in Christian home-school speech and debate is growing rapidly as many new families discover the unique benefits of this activity.  There are several excellent clubs in the  Sacramento region that train students to compete in Team Policy Debate.  We are proud to announce the formation of a Lincoln-Douglas Values Debate club focusing on Lincoln-Douglas Debate as well as all speech events offered by STOA (www.stoausa.org), a national competitive forensics league for Christian, home-educated youth.  Families may choose to participate in debate and / or speech activities according to their interests and goals.  Students ages 12 through high school seniors are eligible to participate.  Instruction will be provided for both novice and experienced students, and parents will learn alongside their students.  Given this collaborative format, there will be no tuition cost.  Club meetings will alternate weekly between speech and debate activities on Monday mornings from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in Citrus Heights throughout the academic year.  An information meeting for interested parents and students will be held on Tuesday, August 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.  Attendance at the meeting will not constitute a commitment, so please join us to gather information before prayerfully considering participation!  For additional information and the location of the meeting, contact:
Kimberly Embree (embree6@comcast.net) or Leigh Ann Crosby (mlc92@sbcglobal.net)
