YouTube has a series of animated cartoons called The Animated Hero Classics. The two on George Washington and Joan of Arc showed the characters praying... more so in Joan of Arc. They also each have a link to a workbook that you can print out.
Most of them are regarding American History but a few are older.

They would probably be more suited for the elementary age since they are
cartoons.
