Final Blast: Family Fun Science Show
Join us Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for Explorit Science Center's Final Blast: Family Fun Science Show and celebrate the joy of discovery, exploration and science. For this end of summer season Family Exploration we invite you to bring your picnic blanket and some munchies and settle in for a spectacular demonstration of chemical genius by the UCD Chemistry Department faculty.
The chemistry show will be presented twice. The first show from 3:45 to 4:15 and the second show at 4:45 to 5:15.
There will be many other activities and things to see and do in addition to the chemistry show. Take a ride around the park on one of Peter Wagner's unique Wymcycles. See a bit of outer space up close and personal with the Lunar Sample Disk on loan from NASA. Don't forget to stop by our current exhibition "Beautiful World: Science and Art" and create a piece of art using principals of science. Jamba Juice will be on hand to sell smoothies to help keep you cool. 20% of the proceeds from Jamba Juice sales will go to Explorit.
Tickets are $20.00 for a family of 4 and you may also purchase additional individual tickets for $5.00 each prior to August 18. Ticket prices increase to $25 for a family of 4 and $6.25 for individuals on August 18.
