History Classes with the HISTerical Sisters

We invite you to join us this coming Fall for a full year (yes...9 different topics) with The HISTerical Sisters. Classes are open to students of all ages (K-12th) and fall sign-ups are now open! Classes are once a month on the 2nd Monday!

Long time homeschooling mothers and sisters, Gina Threshie (known to kids as "NeeNee") and Jennifer Steward (known to kids as "Tito") use their signature blend of hilarious antics to teach the facts! This fun filled history day is called The Great Homeschool History Tour because kids will be taken around the world over hundreds of years learning all about history.
Topics this year include:
·        Ancient Egypt
·        Ancient Greece
·        Ancient Rome
·        The History of Christmas Traditions
·        Ancient China
·        Medieval Times
·        Renaissance
·        Reformation
·        Art History

Students will experience total immersion in each history topic. The HISTerical Sisters start their day by offering an educational and fun teaching presentation (it's more like a show!), then students break into age groups and rotate to activity stations. They may come dressed in costume (many do...many do not) and have their picture taken against a period backdrop with our props. After lunch students will write what they learned (copy from the board) things that were covered and learned (scrapbooking time). Students assemble one more time for the "wrap up" session where they come forward and tell Tito a fact they learned...in exchange for candy (They LOVE this part...and it's so much fun!)
