Jolly good fun is in the works! Excellent crafts have been juried; the performers are rehearsing; costumes, sets and lights are being prepared ~ we're getting ready for that magical time of year!
The 2015 edition of
The Great Dickens Christmas Fair begins on Saturday, November 21st (the weekend prior to Thanksgiving) and will be available for your enjoyment and delight each Saturday and Sunday (plus the Friday after Thanksgiving) through December 20th, from 10am to 7pm.
This is the
only event of its kind in the world, with over 700 performers, 100 juried craftspeople, and multitudinous vendors of delicious food and drink transforming three acres of the Cow Palace Exhibition halls into "London in San Francisco!"
Order online, beginning on September 15, to save $5.00 per adult ticket. It's a deal even Scrooge would love!
Here's a peek at what's new this year:
- The Pennygaff Variety Stage with magicians, mimes, and theatrical shenanigans galore!
- The brand-new Alice and the Caterpillar children's show
- Beautiful new craft originals and new Master Artists
- New Music Hall favorites!
- New characters from Victorian life and literature to encounter in the streets
- And of course, an all-new edition of the notorious Saucy French Postcard Tableaux Vivants!
Once you're inside the Fair, the citizens of Victorian London and Charles Dickens' imagination will sweep you into their world. With hundreds of characters, this is perhaps the largest improvisational theatre piece anywhere ~ and definitely the most fun for adults and children alike!
