Homeschool Dances

Attention Christian Teen homeschoolers (14 – 18 years old) interested in participating in Homeschool Dances at Fontaine’s Dance Studio in Roseville.
Mrs. Prichard has turned the Homeschool Dances over to Margi Gillis, Katie Michehl and Kim Turnipseed. The dances will be run pretty much the same as before.  (Thank You, Mrs. Prichard for blazing the trail!)

We are now in the process of updating our list of interested teens to be included in future dance Evites.
Please provide a parent’s email address, including the age and gender of your teen(s) to   SacHomeschoolDances@gmail.com
Parents, please consider the maturity and interest level of your teen before submitting them to the list.

We anticipate scheduling dances for October, January and March/April.

Dance information
Dances will be held on FRIDAY nights and will have a theme to guide your choice of attire. These are private dances open by invitation only from the SacHomeschoolDances Committee for Christian homeschooled teens who are between the ages of 14-18 in 2015.

DRESS CODE:

Ladies, no strapless, see-through or low-cut (front or back) dresses. Wear a camisole underneath for modesty if necessary. No exposed midriffs or shorty skirts/dresses (you may wear dance shorts underneath if you wish). Make sure you feel comfortable dancing with a partner in whatever you wear.

Gentlemen, you must wear dress slacks (Docker-type business casual pants are fine as long as they don't have rivets) with a dress shirt AND a tie. Suits are great! No denim pants of ANY kind OR color.
IMPORTANT: If you choose to wear something that doesn't meet the dress code you may be removed from the guest list for the rest of the year.

See Fontaine's website for their studio rules on shoes. Bring socks to dance in.  http://www.fontainedance.com/

For newcomers, there is no freestyle dancing. The dance is structured and includes dance etiquette as well as mini-ballroom dance lessons throughout the evening. This is a DANCE, not a place to hang out. The format of the dance only works if everyone dances. You will be partner-dancing and switching partners often. No song requests allowed.

We are allowed a maximum of 50 teens and will try to keep the numbers of girls/guys balanced. Once we reach the limit we will start a wait list. Often we are able to fill a few spots that open up at the last minute.

We anticipate the cost to be $10 and we do not offer refunds. Your spot is confirmed after we receive your money AND when you receive an email from us.
