Sewing and Knitting Classes in Auburn

Foothill Fabrics has added three new classes to the schedule:

b.   Beginning Sewing for Kids – Novice, Intro to sewing

Garment Basics

Workshop for Adults

Instructor: Sheila Holm

Class Size Limited to 6 - Reserve your Spot Today!

Sundays 11am – 2pm

Begins September 21^st, 4 weeks total

Skill Level: Beginning, level II

In this class you will learn:

·         Seaming techniques such as French, Flat-felled and corded

·         Darts

·         Gathers

·         Patch pockets

·         Buttonholes

·         Zippers

Fee:    $90.00 plus materials. (12 hours of lessons)

Registered students receive a 15% discount on all class tools and materials.

Beginning Sewing for Kids! - Ages 8 & up

Instructor: Sheila Holm

Each Class Size Limited to 2 - Reserve your Spot Today!

Class is 1 day/week for 4 weeks

Choose your class day: Monday, Wednesday or Friday

4:30pm – 6:30pm

Skill Level: Beginning, No experience necessary

Kids bring a sewing machine for this 4 part series and learn to sew in this great beginning sewing class.

Class size is a maximum of 2 kids and is tailored to each child's needs, skill and interest level.

The first class will start with sewing basics and lead into the first project: making a pillow case.

With an emphasis on proper technique, each consecutive project will build on the child's new skills at a pace dictated by the child’s ability.

Fee:      $90.00 plus materials. (8 hours of lessons)

Registered students receive a 15% discount on all class tools and materials.

Knitting 102

Series for Adults

Tuesdays: 4pm – 6pm

Begins September 21^st, 4 weeks total

Skill Level: Beginning, level II. Must know: Knit, Purl, Cast on, Bind Off.

Skills learned: Increase, Decrease, Knitting in the Round

Fee:    $90.00 plus materials. (12 hours of lessons)
