CHOIRS

Shades of Praise Choir

For youth ages 12-18
Location: The Shades of Praise Choir, Elk Grove and Citrus Heights groups, now will combine and meet every Friday.
Rehearsals will alternate; one week in the south area, one week in the north area, starting in the south. 
Tuition: $25/month, plus $15 registration fee and $15 music fee per student per semester.

The teen years present an opportunity to learn new skills beyond the scope of book work. In preparation for adulthood, take advantage of the many benefits of participation in a choir:

• Learning 3-5 part harmonies, possibly also a solo
• Acting in roles and gaining confidence on stage through participation in the drama program
• Coordinating body movements into dance choreography
• Experiencing working as a team
• Sharing the Gospel through music

Jesus Express Choir

For youth ages 6-12
Location: North Highlands/Thursdays or South Sac/Fridays
Tuition: $25/month (sliding scale for additional siblings), plus $10 registration fee per student per semester.
Drama: $25/month for drama October-December  

Looking for a way to add music into your school program? Would you like your child to gain confidence in front of an audience? How about an opportunity to learn drama skills? You can satisfy all of these desires by encouraging your child to participate in the Jesus Express Choir. Other benefits include:

• Gaining confidence in front of an audience
• Improving hand-eye coordination through choreography
• Learning to take direction
• Developing self-discipline in a group
• Being part of a team effort to present a fun musical
• Acting in roles and gaining confidence on stage through participation in the drama program
• Making friends in a Christian setting

Primer Choir

for youth ages 4-6
Location: Citrus Heights/Thursdays

If you are interested in Primer Choir in the south area, please contact Cindy Robison 424-3408
Tuition: $12/month

Give your little ones a positive experience as they start their musical journey singing God's Word, as they learn hand movements and develop friendships and vocal skills. This will not be a full-fledged performance choir, but will have the opportunity for one performance per season for relatives. Along with the fun, they will:

• Learn hand movements
• Develop frindships
• Strengthen vocal skills
• Take direction

North Highlands

Thursdays Starting September 4th.

11:30 A.M.-12:00 P.M.

Scholarships are Available for Choir and Drama
We want everyone to participate in our ministry regardless of their financial situation.
For those who do not have the financial means but would like to be a part of our group,

BANDS

All Band classes meet on Wednesdays.

• Beginning Band 9:30am–10:30am (New Students)
• Intermediate Band 10:30am–11:20am
• Advanced Band 11:00am–12:45pm
• Profound Sound 11:45pm–1:55pm Profound Sound Band
  Band students must provide their own music stand. *

Instrument Rental

Many instruments can be rented through the Rainwater Music Company for a nominal cost.

Recommended ages by instrument

8 years and up:

Trumpet, Clarinet, Snare. Drum, Bass Drum

9 years and up:

Flute, French Horn, Tuba, Tenor Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Trombone, Alto Saxophone, Baritone

Begins: Wednesday, September 3rd
Tuition: $40/month, plus $15 registration fee and $7 book fee per student per semester.
Private Instruction: $23 per 1/2 hour (Private instruction is scheduled separately from classes)
