Junior Volunteer Program
If you are age 13 through 17, you may enter our Junior Volunteer Program as a Junior Team with a parent or guardian. As a Junior Team, you may participate in most volunteer opportunities, including trainings, dog walking, and cat or critter socialization.
The Junior Volunteer Program requires the complete participation of your parent or guardian. Your parent or guardian must be present at all times, including Volunteer Orientation, all training sessions, and at all times during volunteer service.
With the involvement of parents, youth age 13-17 can also participate in the Foster Care Program by temporarily providing a home for orphaned kittens.
Children under the age of 13 do not volunteer directly with the animals at the Placer SPCA. However, there are many ways that children can earn community service hours by doing projects that benefit the animals. For more information, please visit the Community Service page.
