THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR TEACHERS AND 4-H ADULT VOLUNTEERS.

The 4-H EMBRYOLOGY...An Eggciting Adventure is a fun, rewarding and educational project, and most important it's easy to do! Students learn about the basic principles of animal reproduction and gain an appreciation for the process of living things.

 ***Please Note: Fertile Duck Eggs are not available until March 28, 2017***
Embryology Equipment
Many of the tools teachers need for this exciting project are available at the Placer County Cooperative Extension Office for Placer and Nevada counties during the Embryology Program season.
  • Incubators with turners are available to borrow for a small use fee
  • Fertile chicken eggs and duck eggs are available for purchase
  • Curriculum to teach in the classroom is available for purchase
Incubators and eggs require advance reservations. Equipment must be reserved a minimum of TWO WEEKS prior to your equipment pick-up date. Keep in mind the equipment is in heavy demand so RESERVE EARLY!!
