Dance camp week of April 6-10, lessons

Dance camp & lessons being offered!

Caitlyn Camacho, a homeschooled 15-year old sophomore, is offering a dance camp, the week of April 6th - 10th.

Two camps will be offered at Auburn Grace Community Church in the youth room. (3126 Olympic Way, Auburn, CA 95603) The younger group, ages 5-7, will have the opportunity to learn musical theater and jazz. The older group, ages 8-12 will learn jazz and hip-hop. Classes will be an hour long each day, for a total of 5 classes. There will be a short dance to show the parents at the end of the week on the last day. The camp is $50 a child. If two siblings are enrolled, the cost is $90 for both. 

Caitlyn is also usually available to teach private lessons, and can make arrangements for the local area (Auburn).

A little about Caitlyn's background: 

Caitlyn began dance at the age of 5 years old in San Jose & continued her training here in Auburn at Pamelot dance studio. She's participated in various styles of dance, including ballet, jazz, jazz-pop, modern, contemporary, tap, hip-hop, improv, musical theater and over 10 dance and drama productions. Her first group competition, at the age of 10, earned them a 2nd place award. At age 11, she was honored to be chosen to represent the art of dance in several of the Auburn Symphony's school rally's to promote the arts. Also, at 11, she choreographed her first group dance for Royal Stage theater. She's attended numerous dance conventions, learning from some of the industries top choreographers, including Tony Testa & Travis Wall. In 2013, out of 800 dancers at the Nuvo dance convention, Caitlyn was awarded the "Die Hard Dancer" by Stacey Tookey (So You Think You Can Dance). Last year, Caitlyn worked for an opportunity in which she trained with sought-out international choreographers and her mentors, Keone and Mari Madrid. She continues to expand and grow her experiences by recently taking on the role as stage manager for CYT's Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. Her favorite styles of dance are contemporary and hip-hop/street dance. Caitlyn loves teaching and sparking a love for dance in children! :)
