Summer 2015 will be a special time at Purewind . . . It's our 10th year of musical ensembles, and in celebration the groups will be held free of charge this season. Whether you played here years ago, or this will be your first time with us, you are invited to Loomis to help make it our best summer yet.2015 summer ensembles include orchestra plus "chamber bands" for bluegrass, jazz, small choir, classical, praise-style, celtic, and songwriters. Groups are divided by skill level and genre choice. Rehearsals are held one evening per week, mid-May through early-August.This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to collaborate and perform in a friendly, growth-minded setting. We welcome community musicians, students of various ages, and volunteer coaches. Sign up by April 15, so that the music can be custom arranged in time.Note: for those of you who follow our NewSong Camps, this is what we will be doing instead this summer. We'll continue to hold monthly jams at The Flower Farm Café as well as periodic theory/improvisation/songwriting workshops at the studio. But the orchestra and chamber bands will be your "one stop" for ensembles and musical fellowship all summer long!
