                  An Informational Night for Parents

Can I home school through high school?     

     How do the different methods of home education look during the high school years?

          How do I help my teen achieve their goals beyond high school?

            What must we do to help our child enter the military, college, trade school or the work force?

You are invited to an informative evening designed to educate, encourage and equip parents of pre-teens & teens looking to homeschool though high school.

Where:  Whispering Pines Church,   680 Brighton St, Grass Valley, CA 95945

(Cross Streets: Between McCourtney Rd and Packard Dr)

When:  Saturday, February 22 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m

Cost:  This event is free. While there will be a donation basket to help cover expenses there is no obligation and no cost to attend.

What to expect:

*Seasoned homeschooling moms will share their methods of homeschooling through the high school years. Including what their children went onto after high school and how they worked to get them there.

*After a time of fellowship with potluck-style finger- foods we will gather for a session to hear from all speakers after which there will be breakout sessions with a more personal look at navigating the high school years through the various methods represented by the speakers with Q&A time, then concluding with a wrap-up session.   

 *There will be quite a bit of information for you to take home to review, including handouts and pamphlets from HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense) and other sources. There will also be a CD-ROM of the information discussed, speaker’s resources and notes as well as other information available for purchase for $2.  

What to Bring : We ask that you bring a finger-food dish to share. Drink will be provided.

Feel free to share this information with your homeschooling community or anyone else interested in home schooling through high school. Please note that while charter school options will not be represented, those families enrolled in charter schools are welcome to attend.
