Track & Field and Fencing classes this fall!

Hello N Cal Homeschooling families,
I have been teaching home school sports classes all over California for 15 years.  The sports classes I have been teaching focus on teaching each student the techniques and skills in each sport, not just playing games.  So each student gains skill in the sport being taught.  Historically I have taught in Northern California as a 1 week clinic meeting each day for a week.  I have had many request for weekly classes like I teach here in Southern California, meeting each week for an hour.  So now I am planning an 8 week series of Track & Field classes this fall in northern California.  Each class will meet once each week for an hour.  I plan to follow these classes with a 7 week series of Fencing classes starting in January.

In the Track & Field class, I will teach a different event each week including sprint mechanics and technique, long jump, high jump, javelin, discus, shot put, hurdling, and relays.  Each week will include some strength training or conditioning instruction so that students will have a comprehensive strength and conditioning program they can do from home, preparing them for other sports as well as presidential physical fitness tests.  The class is appropriate for students from ages 5 to 18.  Students will use implements appropriate for their age and size.  The Track & Field class will meet for 8 consecutive weeks, concluding the week before Christmas.  The cost of the Track & Field class is $95 for the 8 week class, a bargain for this level of qualify instruction and experience.  I have coached track & field to the highest levels for 30 years, coaching college All-Americans, and many high school athletes who placed high in CIF Finals and earned college track & field scholarships.  I was personally a national champion in track & field in college.

I will follow this class with a 7 week fencing class starting the first week in January after the 1st.  This class is a totally unique opportunity for students to learn all of the basic skills in foil fencing and actually fence with other students using the real equipment!  This will be a separate registration after the track & field class.

I would like to get the information out to you and as many homeschoolers in your area as possible about this unique opportunity to learn all the events in Track & Field and to learn foil fencing!  Can you forward this information to your groups, your friends, and your leaders?   If your group is interested in holding a class specifically for your group in a location that is central for your group, please call or email me!  We can do the track & field class and follow it with a meet for your entire group.  We can also hold a fencing class for your group that could lead into a fencing club for your home school group.  But to organize a class for your group we need to act quickly so call or email me as soon as possible.

Registrations are available on the website listed below right now.  The classes will start in less than 3 weeks, so please register on the website as soon as possible!
