You don't want to miss this opportunity coming up this weekend. Each year, Marshall Gold Discovery Park puts on a BIG event to tell the story of the Gold Rush. There will be many, many tents set up with interpreters telling about their part in Coloma in 1852. It will be a bustling tent city with miners, gamblers, cooks, pioneers, mountain men, pharmacist, doctor, nurse, kids games etc. If you want to get some California History in...come on down.It will be Thursday / Friday (geared more toward schools) 10:-- 2:00Saturday and Sunday will be the full blown event with more to see and do than on Thursday and Friday.$8 per car 10:00 - 4:00You can trade in your "paper money" for gold coins and purchase items in Old Town 1852 with gold rush coins.
