Title: Physics of Flora
Speaker: Kimberly Ingram
Title: Physics of Flora
Speaker: Dr. Paul Doherty
Here is something else that might interest you, recently released by the Sierra Nevada Conservancy. A new blog intended to give insight into the wildfire season-from an insider's perspective. They have created this blog as a way to tell the Sierra fire season story differently. Rather than focusing on the acres burned and structures lost, it will focus on the broader impacts of each fire, connect new forest and fire research as it becomes available, and will highlight values beyond suppression dollars that can be lost when our forests burn.
It's only June, but already California has experienced more than twice the amount of fires as normal. Stay tuned for more on the impacts that fire can have on your air, your forests, and your water.
