Parents, don't forget - our Fall Kids Club for children aged 9-13 is open for registration TODAY! http://placerspca.org/youth-club/

The Youth for Animals Club is designed for kids 9-13 years of age who want to learn how they can make a difference in the lives of animals.
The Fall meetings are held monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6:00 – 7:30 pm (except November) at the Placer SPCA Companion Animal Care Center in Roseville. Fall Club meetings (total of seven) are held on a monthly basis and run from September through December. Once registered, the club member is enrolled for all seven club meetings.
Club Meeting Dates:
  • September 5th & 19th
  • October 3rd & 17th
  • November 7th & 28th
  • December 5th
Students in the Youth for Animals Club will learn about:
  • Animal Welfare Organizations: Learn how and why animals enter shelter environments, caring for animals in shelter environments, and what they can do now to help support shelter animals;
  • Proper Care and Treatment of Animals: Learn how to safely handle animals, proper nutrition and exercise, basic grooming and health, and the costs of owning a pet;
  • Career Explorations in Animal Welfare;
  • And more!
Please note: The Youth for Animals Club is NOT a club for children who want to pet and play with animals. This club is designed for young people who are serious about learning how to help animals and willing to work towards that goal. Each member will do at least one service project during club meetings.
Club membership is $70.00 and is limited to 16 students, and includes seven club meetings. Parents or guardians of club members will be required to sign a liability release.
