GOT MUSIC THEORY?

Is anyone out there interested in taking a music theory class for the summer?

I have a few students interested and I just need a few more to make it an official class.

This would be geared towards students who have been taking lessons for a while and are looking to strengthen their understanding of music theory (we can work on applying it to their instrument).

This would also be ideal for students who are preparing to head into high school or college and want to solidify their theory knowledge or get a refresher and cover any gaps.

Besides reviewing the basics and going as advanced as it works for the class, I'm also planning on having people bring in their instruments throughout the class so that we can make connections from the page to the instrument. We will also work with different genres and strip them down structurally to compare and contrast from a theory perspective. Like take a classical piece and a classic rock or worship piece and see...it's not so different. 

Other than that, I don't have any specifics in mind. I am happy to cater the class around those who are interested, both with scheduling and cost. :)
