Youth for Animals Club/ Roseville

Calling all kiddos! Our Youth for Animals Club will kick off the fall season on September 6th, and we have plenty of fun and engaging animal-focused activities planned for this session! If your child is between 9 and 13 years old and has a heart for animals, head over to http://placerspca.org/youth-club/ to register before August 31st
The Youth for Animals Club is designed for kids 9-13 years of age who want to learn how they can make a difference in the lives of animals.
The Fall meetings are held monthly on the first and third Tuesday of each month (with the exception of December) from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the Placer SPCA Companion Animal Care Center in Roseville. Fall Club meetings (total of seven) are held on a monthly basis and run from September through December. Once registered, the club member is enrolled for all seven club meetings.

Students in the Youth for Animals Club will learn about:
  • Animal Welfare Organizations: Learn how and why animals enter shelter environments, caring for animals in shelter environments, and what they can do now to help support shelter animals;
  • Proper Care and Treatment of Animals: Learn how to safely handle animals, proper nutrition and exercise, basic grooming and health, and the costs of owning a pet;
  • Career Explorations in Animal Welfare;
  • And more!
