'Contend' Speech and Debate Club

CONTACT:  Jaime Lyda <>

Dear Christian Homeschooling Families,
Come and learn about the exciting world of speech and debate!

Participating in speech and debate benefits every student from the most timid to the outgoing. Our society needs bold Christian leaders who stand firm for truth. This activity equips our Christian youth for the task of reaching the culture for Christ and becoming the leaders of tomorrow.
Our goal is to teach homeschool students how to understand and critically analyze opposing opinions; and to defend and articulate their own beliefs with confidence, clarity, and conviction.

Contend is a local (Placer County) speech and debate club affiliated with the national Christian Homeschool speech and debate community, Stoa. The Stoa community was designed to promote the development of a Biblical worldview and offer opportunities for competition and training in speech and debate.

Contend will be hosting an information meeting in Rocklin on August 18, 2016 at 7pm.
If you are interested please RSVP by phone, email, or text.  Location and directions will be given upon RSVP.
