Sacramento Splash March 2nd! Ages 8-16

Sacramento Splash
A message from the director:
By way of introduction, I am the founder of Sacramento Splash. As you might know, Splash is involved in protecting water and habitat through education. Our Investigating Vernal Pools program in elementary school and Investigating Streams and Water Quality curricula are used by many homeschooling families in the area.  If you’re not familiar with our programs, you can find out more at www.sacsplash.org.
I wanted to get the word out to families of homeschooling parents that we are looking for 15-30 students roughly between the ages of 8 and 16 on March 2 from 9:30 – 10:30 at Riverfront Street in West Sacramento (off 5th Street exit on Business 80 east of Raley Field). Splash will be there with our interactive watershed model to work with groups of about 10 students at a time exploring the impacts of stormwater pollutants and how families can help improve water quality in runoff from their own neighborhoods.
Since the media are turning out for this, I’d like the next generation to be present to advocate for their interest in protecting water and habitat where we live.  If you and/or your friends and families would like to bring their children, please ask them to contact me directly.
Thank you so much, Eva Butler Splash Program Director eva@sacsplash.org
