Howdy Partners. Tie up your horses and come see how folks lived in 1840. We will step back in time and learn about John Sutter and his fort. In the 1840’s, it was the only structure in the Sacramento area. The fort was a place where travelers could eat and rest after a long trip. Then James Marshall discovered gold up in the hills and nothing was the same again. You will be surprised where the gold went. Between 5 to 6 million dollars in gold every month came out of this area. Join Ranger Bruce and see California’s history from a different perspective.
