Dear Friends of The HISTerical Sisters -
We wanted to let you know that our BIG Gold Rush Days event is coming up next weekend the 11th - 12th -13th from 10 - 4:00 each day (Friday is more geared toward schools) You want to try to come on the weekend because there are more historical re-enactors there on those days.
We will have loads of things to do including using gold coins in Tent Town! There's an amazing Candy shop, kids can candle dip, tin punch, and make some rope...amongst many amazing other things. Make your way around the gold rush tent city and when you stop to talk with different interpreters, you can have your passport book stamped - claim a prize at the end!
We are also featuring a NEW event this year on November 30th from 1:00 - 5:00 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) The event is called Historic Holiday Houses. !2 historic buildings will be open and decorated for Christmas in the Old Fashioned way with interpreters on hand to share the history of the building.
