Mother-Daughter Bible Study, Ages 8-11

Hello Homeschooling Mom’s!

We currently have openings for 1-2 more mother-daughter pairs to join our bible study group.  Please read this entirely and if interested contact me at mommynhope@gmail.com for more info.

I started a Girls of Grace mother-daughter bible study for girls ages 8-11.  The mission is to strengthen the bond between mom and daughter before the teen years come.  Also, to create a community of moms and daughters that can come together to study the Word, grown in Jesus and have like-minded friends.  

Who:  Moms and daughters ages 8-11

When:  Starting Sept 2nd and 4th Friday of the month 1pm-3pm

Where:  Rotating locations between Roseville and Foresthill (must be willing to drive to Foresthill once a month)

A commitment is required.  I feel strongly that if we want to create a community for our daughters this needs to be a priority.  Also, the 4 girls in the first study LOVE the group and look forward to it!  

No other children are allowed at the meetings.  This is a time to pour into your daughter at this critical age.  

The book we are studying next semester is Building Circles of Grace by Catherine Bird.  It requires about 2 hours of reading and activities at home with your daughter and then the 2 hour bi-monthly meeting.   During the meetings we do fun activities to illustrate the what the bible is teaching us.  The LOVE this part!!  

Lastly, we have a private FB group where we share ideas and meeting invites, etc.

Kingdom Builder Books is Moving and Can Use Your Help!!

We are moving July 13th and 14th! It's just around the corner from our current location. Our new address will be: 911 Washington Blvd., Suite 203.   We would love helping hands for our big move on Saturday, July 14th.   We will be closed Wednesday, July 4th, and Friday, July 13th!  Free Homeschooling Consultations!  Not sure where to begin?  Not sure you are on the right track?  Not sure what to do about Jr. High and High School?  We will go over all of it with you step by step.  We are available all summer long.  Just give us a call today at 916-784-1717 for an appointment. Kingdom Builder offers a wide variety of both core and elective classes for students of all ages.  Our mission is to teach a Christian world view in all subjects.  Elementary students can enjoy hands-on classes such as LEGO Engineering, Art, Slot-Car Racing, and Chess.  Parents and students will enjoy the Writing, History and Science classes, as the students master essential concepts. 101 Dalmatians for Kids Acting Workshops, Ages 7-13

Music and Singing class for teens and young adults with disabilities

Dear Home School Families,

Attached is a flyer with information regarding a music and singing class for teens and young adults with disabilities, taught by longtime music teacher, April Bean.  The class began in March, and has been wonderful!  However, many who wanted to participate could not due to the timing of the class (formerly 2X per month on Thursday mornings).  So, for the upcoming summer months, we are trying out an evening class!  Classes will be the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, June-August, from 7:15-9:00pm.  All other pertinent info is on the attached flyer, which I will also cut and paste below, just in case anyone has trouble opening it :)  Please feel free to share this info with others you know who might be interested.  The class has been wonderful so far!

April is a 21-year veteran music educator who holds a CA teaching credential in music. April has taught choir, band and orchestra to students from 4th grade up through high school.
