Catalina Island Marine Science Camp Sept 15-19, 2014

Hi All,
We have reservations on Catalina Island the week of September 15-19, 2014 for Mountain and Sea Adventure's marine science camp.   A group of Sacramento area homeschoolers went in September 2010 and September 2011.  Both trips were amazing!  The highlights were kayaking and snorkeling, but the whole experience was fabulous!  Our lodging was in 8 person cabins, but tents are available too.  The program is geared for kids age 8 through high school.  Parents can join in too.  I highly recommend doing that!  The camp is christian based and includes devotions and scripture for christian groups who attend.  We are hoping more families can join us this September.

The cost for the 5 day program (estimate Monday 9am to Friday 1pm) is $477.50 per person.  That includes boat transportation from Long Beach to and from Emerald Bay on Catalina Island, lodging for 4 nights, all meals plus snacks and the whole program including snorkeling and kayak gear.  We have had good results fundraising with car washes and See's candy.

Let me know if you have any questions and if you are interested in joining us in September.  You can also go towww.mountainandsea.org, under "camps" find "schools - Catalina camp".

Hope you can join us!
Lisa Eastman

Theory Class + Improv Band

NewSong Camp participants are still noting just how much they were impacted by the theory classes, ear training, and improvisation groups this winter.  These opportunities simply are not found through private lessons and other year-round ensembles, but they are essential for complete development of any singer/instrumentalist.  We have seen that there is a need to continue these studies NOW to build on camp's foundation and welcome in new people, so we are providing an altogether new opportunity this spring . . .

Are you looking for a community of like-minded homeschoolers to inspire and encourage you?
Do you need more accountability or motivation for yourself and your child?
Classical Conversations is a program that combines the classical method of education with a biblical worldview, utilizing the natural developmental stages of children to cultivate the skills needed for a lifetime of learning. CC's purpose is to equip and empower parents and students to discover the order and beauty of life through a biblical perspective and to inspire others to do the same. CC is Christian in worldview, classical in application, and communal in spirit.
