Christian homeschool SCOPE Project Fair
SCOPE's annual project fair is this weekend at Valley Springs Church in Roseville. Think science fair, but on all kinds of topics: history, science, crafts, fine arts, etc... and all homeschoolers. You do not need to be a member of SCOPE to attend; it's open to everyone. It makes a fun place to see some of the things other families are working on, and perhaps strike a new interest in your own kids.

Great class this Friday
APRIL 3rd - THE CHRISTIAN HISTORY OF THE PONY EXPRESS (THAT'S NEVER TOLD)April 3rd - The True Story of the Pony Express & the One Room School house. Howdy partners. Come along with Ranger Bruce and learn about the Pony Express and the Christian men who started it. The mail was delivered to Sacramento from St. Joseph, Mo. Believe it or not mail got through in 10 days. Men and boys risked their lives to get the mail past the Indians, buffalo stampedes, and prairie fires. I will teach you about one very famous 11 year old boy from right here in Sacramento who rode for the Pony Express. You will want to learn all about him. Many of the riders went on to become world famous. Some joined up with Buffalo Bill to travel the world. You will learn about the young girl named “Little Miss Sure Shot” and some of her incredible marksmanship. Yes, you guessed it, Annie Oakley. All the girls will want to learn about her. Cost - $35.00 per family. Meet in front of the Railroad Museum – Old town Sacramento. Time 10:00 – 12:00Each family will receive a “1960” Pony Express Centennial postage stamp. This is a 55 year old stamp in mint condition (never been used) yours free for being part of this class. (A $12.00 value) Also young girls will receive from Ranger Bruce, a playing card shot threw the center and autographed by Annie Oakley herself. Reproduced by the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show 1884. (Priceless)--
Next Creation Worldview session starting April 7th
These classes are taught by the creator and producer of Jonathon Park audio series! My children and I are learning a lot from these classes, both from a biblical and a scientific standpoint. I don't typically enjoy science myself; but this is not dry. It is very interesting and fun. We enjoy the hands-on small group activities, the verbal interaction, the visual clips, and the optional homework. The time is flying by! Come check it out! - Michelle
=================
Parents,
Families from all over Northern California are attending the Creation Worldview Classes. These classes share scientific evidences that are in harmony with God’s Word.
Next month is the beginning of a new module, and it’s the perfect time to join us! For the next month we’ll be studying the theory of evolution, and how it fails to explain the diversity of life created by God!
Classes are happening weekly in Chico, Oroville, Paradise, Redding, & Roseville.
Topics for the month of April will be: Biological Evolution I, Biological Evolution II, Design of Animals, & the Human Genome.
Our goal is to equip your child to trust God’s Word, and become ready to defend their faith.
Classes are designed for 12 – 18 year olds, but anyone of any age is invited to attend. The classes incorporate humor, video, PowerPoint presentations, and hands-on activities. The cost is $35 per student ($25 if we get more than 40 per class). Parents attend free with children.
