Hello Parents and Guardians:Volleyball, traditionally an American backyard game, has evolved into an international Olympic sport and now your children can participate in it for the Month of March!EMH provides various net heights and ball types so that all age groups can participate. We also modify the rules for the younger children such as one bounce, hot potato and just plain catching the ball and throwing it back over the net.All group levels will learn the basics of serving, bumping, setting, rotation and scoring. Coaches will focus on improving individual skills along with position-specific training and strategy. Games will be played daily to reinforce lessons taught. There are four (4) sessions in March and the cost is only $24. If you don’t have an account with us yet, please visit: http://www.emhsports.com/guide. If you already take our classes just log on to register at: http://www.emhsports.com/ signup. Religious based,Creation Classes starting March 3rd (12-18 yrs)/ Roseville
Homeschool Parents,
I run a creation ministry in Paradise, CA. As a homeschool dad, creator of the Jonathan Park Audio Dramas, and former speaker and radio producer for theInstitute for Creation Research, I have a real heart for equipping homeschoolers and their families with the exciting evidence that’s in harmony with their faith!
I’m writing to let you know I am planning to teach a weekly Creation Worldview Class in several cities in Northern California. I wasn’t planning to come to Roseville, but several people have mentioned that I should try. Unfortunately, the classes begin on March 3rd, so there isn’t much time! Here is the question: can we get enough people together in such a short time? I am asking your help, could you spread this to other homeschool families? If we get enough people signed up in the next week, I will pull the class together!
The class is designed for 12 – 18 year olds, and will give students a strong foundation for their faith. They will come away with a deep understanding of the broad scope of the Biblical and scientific case for the creation account. They will also be equipped to defend their faith. Please see below for a list of topics that will be covered.
These weekly classes will be taught in one month modules. The classes would be held at 3:30pm on Tuesday afternoons. There will be a total of 4 modules over 4 months, and will begin in March. A student can register for a single module, or all four! Each module will be $25 ($35 if we have less than 40 students). The classes will be a great blend of instruction, humor, videos, visual presentations, hands-on activities, and much, much more. You can learn more about the classes at: www.CreationQuest.net .
I have decided that I need to have a minimum of 30 students registered to bring this class to Roseville. Could you help me get the word out to homeschooling families in your area right away?
Thank you!

Postcrossing, Postcards from around the world for free.
The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free! The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world.
Why? Because, like the https://www.postcrossing.com/team, there are lots of people who like to receive real mail.
The element of surprise of receiving postcards from different places in the world (many of which you probably have never heard of) can turn your mailbox into a box of surprises - and who wouldn't like that?
How does it work?
First, the short version:
The first step is to request to send a postcard. The website will display (and send you an email) with the address of another member and a Postcard ID (e.g.: US-786). You then mail a postcard to that member.
- request an address from the website
- mail the postcard to the address
- wait to receive a postcard
- register the received postcard in the system
The member receives the postcard and registers it using the Postcard ID that is on the postcard. At this point, you are eligible to receive a postcard from another user. You are now in line for the next person that requests to send a postcard. Where the postcard comes from is a surprise!
You can have up to 5 postcards traveling at any single time. Every time one of the postcards you send is registered, you can request another address. The number of postcards allowed to travel at any single time goes up the more postcards you send!
Still have questions? Check out the help section, our Community Guidelines and the forum.

Pen Pal program
I wanted to let you know about the HSAMF (Home School Association for Military Families) Pen Pal Program for both military and civilian homeschooled children. Our Pen Pal Program is a FREE literacy based, traditional letter writing program. It is a great way to get children writing traditional letters, a skill that is often lost in today's society, as well as make friends with children they would otherwise not have met.Quite honestly, it has also been a great way to work on grammar and spelling with my children, without them even realizing they are "working on school."If you are interested, or know of any other homeschooling families that may be interested, we encourage you to check out our website, www.hsamf.org Look for the Pen Pal Program under the Programs tab.We also want to encourage you to sign up for our e-newsletter. Penpal Tidbits is a bimonthly publication that will give you fresh ideas to share with your penpal. For example, August 26th is Australia Day, so the children are encouraged to learn something new about Australia and share it with their pen pal.Don't forget to share this with your homeschool group and social networks. Thank you so much!If you have any questions, please feel free to let me know!

The game also improves hand and eye coordination and quickness. The balls used in this sport are made of a spongy and light plastic material and pose no problem when coming into contact with the students. These lighter weight balls move slower through the air and are easier to dodge. We add several different sizes of ball and variations on the rules to keep it interesting and fun. The rules and regulations of the games will be discussed before each class.Sincerely,Julian WellsEMH Sports
